Just another day....?

I keep telling myself to write a blog at least every couple days, then by the end of the night, I can't even think straight, so I flop on the bed and watch tv. I'm loving that Project Runway is on again. And Shear Genius. I seem to gravitate towards all the fashion "reality" tv shows. What are they calling it now, unscripted tv shows? Whatever people call it is fine with me, just keep it coming. I will live vicariously through others who have some sort of fashion sense because frankly, I drew the short straw on that one! (Just ask Kelly, she saw me in my black walking outfit...after that, I'm pretty sure I need supervision when shopping.) I dream of the day Stacy and Clinton ("From TLC's What Not To Wear!") come and accost me while I'm going on my daily walk.

But anyway, as I keep saying, the days keep going by so quickly! I'm loving it. Even when we have nothing much going on, the day seems full. Of course, even the most mundane tasks become an event for me and the girls.
Take for instance, our daily walk: Today I figured since we walk past the Postal Annex every day, I'd be able to drop off a couple items on the way, no big deal, right? Wrong. I didn't have a bubble envelope, so I had to buy one there, so I brought the stuff to put in the envelope and put it under Kelly's stroller so my kids wouldn't destroy it in our wagon. But when we got there, I realized I had forgotten to bring a major part of what I was sending. Crap. Oh well, I figured I'd just go for our walk and then go back up later, I guess it wasn't a big problem. Then we always go to Trader Joe's for bananas. Kelly decided not to get any, but I really wanted some, so I went while she waited a little distance away. So I shopped and got to the cashier and realized I had forgotten my purse under Kelly's stroller. So I called Kelly and she met me part of the way. But then I still had to walk back, I thought about not going back, but I had also picked out frozen strawberries, so I didn't want to leave them to thaw at the register. So I went and waited in line again and then paid my $3 and was on my merry way. Then, last but not least, when we got home, I grabbed the forgotten item, then went for walk #2. When I got there, I realized I had forgotten the addresss. (Yes, this is my life...I am officially a scatter brain...I swear I do not think I was like this before kids.) Luckily, I had just given the address to my mom the day before, so I called her to get it back. Then we rushed back before the phone company guy came to fix our phone. (Another thing that has taken up quite a few of our days...in the past 4 months that I've lived here, I have had 5 cable/phone guys come to the house, one guy was here twice. My neighbors must wonder what kind of thing I've got going on here!)
So, you see, a boring day for me, is never a boring day.

I will now leave you with some pictures of the girls in their newly separate rooms!
Lydia, thrilled to have her own room to kick her sister out of!

Maya, happy in her super-clean room. (I asked the girls to clean up the stuff that used to be under Lydia's bed...so they put it under Maya's bed. They were proud of their awesome cleaning abilities.)
Lydia snuggled up with her doggy that Scott bought her. (Looking at this picture, many people are represented here...we have my niece, Molly's old bed, my old pillow case, an afghan made by my Grandma Hot Dog, a pillow I made, and the dog from Scott. And this is weird, but when she sleeps, she reminds me of Joel, my brother, when we were kids. Wow, that was a lot of info. There will be a quiz later.)
